Pip Explains

Our privacy promise

Last updated October 29, 2026. Pip Explains is run by 3024, LLC.

The short version

Kids

We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Kids can watch episodes, play quizzes and read every page without an account. Quiz answers are counted anonymously (we see “40 people picked answer B”, never who picked it). Forms that ask for an email ask your year of birth first and send anyone under 18 away from the form. If you think a child has given us personal information, email pip@pipexplains.com and we’ll delete it.

What we collect from grown-ups

We don’t ask for your year of birth to keep it: we use it once to check you’re a grown-up, and don’t store it.

Cookies

We use one cookie, only after you sign in, to keep you signed in. If a form tells someone it’s for grown-ups, we set a short-lived cookie that remembers that for a day. That’s it.

Videos

Episodes are hosted on YouTube. They play in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to the videos.

Counting visits

We count how many times each page is viewed and each printable is downloaded, per day, without cookies or any way to tell who visited.

Who we share with

Nobody, except the companies that run the website for us: Cloudflare hosts the site, stores the data and sends our emails. We never sell or rent your information.
